"Given how uncertain everything is (and was at the time of writing Sehra) right now, one can either give in and feel all the negativity or, for the sake of irony, revisit the positive emotions and remember all the things and activities that bring them. Keeping this notion in mind, Sehra came to be, more so as an expression of the latter. It is an optimistic love song that aims to tap into the “feel good” vibe of the indie/pop music of the subcontinent in the 2000s. Listening to albums like Dhaani (Strings), Delhi-6 (A. R. Rahman), Tanha Dil (Shaan), Boondh (Jal) and compositions like Junoon (Amit Trivedi) and Tere Baajo (Goher Mumtaz) inspired the sonic mood for Sehra."
